Take Something, Leave Something Table at Chico Farmers Market : Embracing Community & Play

Each week at the Chico Certified Farmers Market, I set up a small table with post-it notes, painted rocks, trinkets, and strawberry hard candies. People can come by to leave a message, make a small artwork, or take a note to improve their day. I’m always inspired by the interactions at this table, children show off their art talents to get a candy and adults trade words of encouragement for others. What really warms my heart is the many smiles exchanged throughout the market every week; it’s one of my favorite things.
